The 2025 Police Unity Tour is Underway

This morning Alcester Police Station became a refuelling station for 26 cyclists taking part in our local chapter of the annual Police Unity Tour. This 3-day event sees serving and retired officers come together to cycle 200 miles to honour those who died in the line of duty. They started at the West Mercia Police HQ before making their way into Warwickshire.  The tour will continue across the county the following day before concluding at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire with a remembrance service on Sunday 3 August.

The event gives all proceeds towards “Care of Police Survivors” - a UK charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers who have lost their lives on duty. At time of writing this, they have already raised over £6,000 via their Just giving page, “West Midlands Chapter 2025.” I wish them the best of luck on the rest of their journey.
